Defibrillators are becoming a regular feature on high-streets around the UK as these life-saving devices support the wellbeing of local communities. By giving a high energy electric shock to the heart, these essential devices can save the life of someone who is in cardiac arrest.
According to The British Heart Foundation, figures show that only one in ten people survive a heart attack, but survival rates are greatly improved if a defibrillator is used to treat the patient.
At Atlas Health Group, we believe in supporting local community initiatives so when one of our physiotherapist practices wanted to install a much-needed AED defibrillator in the Boxgrove area of Guildford, we were keen to contribute.
